Right-of-Way Agent / Land Acquisition Specialist

S outheastern Land Company Inc. (SLC) Winston-Salem North Carolina

SLC is seeking a detail-oriented Right-of-Way Agent to support land acquisition for utility and infrastructure projects. This is a hybrid work-from-home position with travel to project sites throughout North Carolina and South Carolina. You will work with property owners to secure easements rights-of-way and property acquisitions while coordinating with project teams and maintaining accurate records. The ROW Agent must have an active real estate license in NC.

What youll do

• Negotiate easements rights-of-way and property acquisitions with landowners.
• Research property ownership titles and parcel information.
• Present offers and explain project impacts clearly and professionally.
• Coordinate with surveyors engineers and project managers.
• Document communications and transactions in digital records.
• Follow client guidelines and project requirements.

Required qualifications

• Active real estate license in North Carolina. (License in SC is a plus.)
• Active notary commission in North Carolina.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to work independently in the field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe software.
• Reliable vehicle and ability to provide a computer with Windows 11 Microsoft Office Adobe Acrobat Pro and a printer.

Preferred experience

• Right-of-way real estate or land acquisition work.
• Reading maps plats and legal descriptions.
• Utility infrastructure transportation or electrical transmission and distribution projects.
• Projects funded by federal or state agencies including DOT FEMA or HUD.
