AVP, Capital Management

Job Description

A Global Bank in New York City is seeking an experienced professional to join their team as AVP of Capital Management.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with internal teams to support financial objectives, business planning, and strategic initiatives.
\n
• Analyze financial resources and recommend improvements to their allocation and use.
\n
• Strengthen financial forecasting, scenario analysis, and risk assessment processes.
\n
• Support the planning and execution of projects that improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
\n
• Maintain and enhance policies, procedures, and controls to support consistent processes and reporting.
\n
• Prepare financial analyses and presentations to support leadership decisions and communicate key findings.
\n

Qualifications:

\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field preferred; master’s degree a plus.
\n
• 4–6+ years of relevant financial services experience, with a strong background in financial planning and analysis.
\n
• Strong understanding of corporate finance, accounting, and valuation principles.
\n
• Knowledge of regulatory capital requirements, risk-weighted assets, and stress testing frameworks.
\n
• Familiarity with corporate and investment banking products and business activities.
\n
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate financial and qualitative data into actionable insights.
\n
• Ability to manage shifting priorities and deadlines while independently delivering accurate, high-quality work.
