Accounts Receivables Specialist

Overall Responsibilities

Responsible for a variety of activities associated with the Company accounts receivable function, including but not limited to; invoice processing, cash applications, credit processing, discrepancy resolution and collections. Performs general accounting type duties as assigned.

• Processes and mails invoices.
• Applies cash as received.
• Advises Controller of any problems identified with receivables.
• Processes approved credits.
• Resolves discrepancies in billing.
• Contacts customers regarding outstanding receivables.
• Prepares weekly and monthly commission reports for Company manufacturing representatives.
• Prepares bank reconciliations.
• Perform other related accounting type duties.
• Performs such other duties as assigned.
• Prepares daily loan and collateral report
• Runs and files standard month end accounting reports
• Maintains all accounting files, active and archived.
• Processes and mails invoices
• Issues monthly statements to customers per request
• Applies cash as received
• Processes approved credits
• Resolves discrepancies in billing
• Contacts customers regarding outstanding receivables
• Advises CFO of any problems identified with receivables
• Prepares monthly commission reports for company manufacturing representatives
• Completes Credit Inquires on New Customers
• Updates customer master files with contact information and credit terms
• Notifies Program manager of customers being placed on credit hold
• Enters all wire transfers into the bank web site
• Completes all banking transactions
• Ensures payroll files for accuracy
• Assures all monies are available for all Payroll needs (Taxes, Checks, Direct Deposits and Garnishments) and payroll fees

Education and Experience for the Collections Specialist:

• Minimum of a high school diploma/GED
• Prior experience preferred, but not required up to five (5) years or less.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Access.
