Mechanical AssemblerOur client, a top Fortune Company is looking to hire a Mechanical Assembler in Seattle, WA, Fully onsite Pay Rate Range: $30/h - $35/h on W2, depending on experience Contract - 11 months with possible extension/conversion Team seeks an Assembler to perform mechanical assembly operations on manufactured components. You will assemble parts produced through 3D printing, CNC machining, welding, and sheet metal fabrication into finished products according to engineering drawings and work instructions. This role requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work with hand tools and assembly equipment. Daily Schedule: Start as day shift, possible to move to night shift.Key ResponsibilitiesAssemble manufactured components into finished products following engineering drawings, work instructions, and assembly proceduresPerform mechanical assembly including fastening, bonding, fitting, and alignment of partsUse hand tools, power tools, and assembly fixtures safely and effectivelyInstall hardware including screws, bolts, nuts, washers, rivets, and other fastenersApply adhesives, sealants, and thread-locking compounds as specifiedPerform sub-assembly and final assembly operationsQuality and InspectionVerify part fit and alignment during assembly processPerform visual inspections to ensure quality standards are metIdentify and report defects or quality issues to manufacturing managers and quality engineersConduct functional tests on assembled products as requiredMaintain accurate assembly records and documentationFollow first article inspection procedures for new assembliesMaterial Handling and OrganizationRetrieve components and materials from inventory for assembly operationsMaintain organized work area and enforce 5S standardsHandle manufactured components carefully to prevent damageReturn unused materials and components to proper storage locationsAssist with inventory cycle counts as neededSafety and ComplianceFollow all safety protocols and proceduresWear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)Maintain clean and safe work environmentReport safety hazards or concerns immediatelySupport ISO 9001 compliance through proper documentationCross-Functional CollaborationCoordinate with manufacturing teams on component readiness and assembly prioritiesCommunicate with quality engineers on assembly issues or improvementsSupport shipping team with packaging and preparation of assembled productsProvide feedback to Application Engineers on design for assembly improvementsRequired Qualifications1+ years of mechanical assembly experience or equivalent technical trainingAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly instructionsProficiency with hand tools and power toolsStrong attention to detailAbility to lift up to 35 poundsGood manual dexterity and hand-eye coordinationBasic computer skills for documentationPreferred Qualifications2+ years of assembly experience in a manufacturing environmentTechnical certification or vocational training in mechanical assemblyExperience with precision assembly and tight tolerance workFamiliarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)Experience with torque wrenches and precision measurement toolsKnowledge of adhesive bonding and fastening techniquesExperience in contract manufacturing or high-mix production environmentsForklift certificationSuccess ProfileHigh attention to detail with commitment to qualityStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsSafety-focused with adherence to protocols and proceduresReliable and punctual with strong work ethicTeam player with collaborative mindsetAdaptable with ability to handle changing prioritiesSelf-starter with ability to work independentlyQuality-focused with pride in workmanshipInsists high standards, ownershipExperience 1+ years of mechanical assembly experience or equivalent technical trainingEqual Employment OpportunityPrideGlobal and its affiliates are an equal opportunity employer.
