We are searching for an experienced Welder at our Chicago, IL facility. This role is perfect for a candidate who just received their welding certification or has less than 1-2 years for experience and is looking to be a part of an amazing team!
This pay rate starts at $20/hour Monday-Friday 6AM-2:30pm - Occasional overtime will be needed.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform ordinary and repetitive hand welding operations
- All MIG welding
- Care required in clamping parts in relative position to avoid distortion
- Operate welding equipment; regulate current and voltage or gas and feed rate for proper fusion of metals
- Heavy lifting may be required
Required Qualifications:
- Must be able to work in a fast pace environment.
- Must be able to plan and layout welding sequence, referring to drawings, blueprints, or specifications
- May layout and mark weld points on parts or assemblies using a tape measure, square, scribe, or templates
- Must be proficient at reading work orders
- A concern for quality control is a requirement.
