Senior Event Program Coordinator Position Number: 1127281 Salary Range: $75,700 – $94,700 Type: Regular Full Time, Exempt Hours: 40 per week Location: Hanover, NH (Hybrid Working Option) Position Purpose The Senior Event Program Coordinator promotes inclusive excellence and belonging (IEB) initiatives across the Geisel School of Medicine's MD and Master’s degree programs. The role supports day‑to‑day operations of the Office of Diversity, Inclusion, and Community Engagement (DICE) and partners with a wide variety of constituents to assess programmatic needs and advance inclusive practices. Key Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and evaluate large‑scale events and pipeline programs, ensuring alignment with DICE’s mission of inclusive excellence. Maintain and enhance office systems, including the Free Food Alert app and financial processing for student and departmental expenditures. Build and manage relationships with community partners, minority‑serving organizations, and conferences to represent DICE’s initiatives. Support recruitment and retention of a diverse UME/MPS/MS student body through outreach and partnerships. Organize and oversee events for underrepresented candidates, such as coffee and dinner events, Second Look events, Open Houses, and Phone‑a‑Thon. Coordinate orientation programs that promote inclusive excellence and belonging among all students. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs using quantitative and qualitative metrics; recommend improvements. Manage logistics for events, including facility space, travel, and accommodation arrangements. Oversee heritage month celebrations and recognition of religious holidays. Assist with LCME accreditation support and general administrative duties, including visitor screening and information dissemination. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive records with discretion. Develop training materials and support team learning modules. Collaborate with DICE leadership to adapt workload priorities and coordinate schedules. Serve as a primary source of information on office policies and procedures. Coordinate publicity activities across multiple media, including brochures, newsletters, website updates, and social media. Provide administrative support for community service‑learning, outreach, and recruitment activities. Perform additional duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5+ years project‑management experience in a similar role or in a higher or medical education setting focused on diversity or student affairs. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Team collaboration and effective judgment. Positive interaction with diverse faculty, students, and personnel. Flexibility, adaptability, and strong prioritization skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Proficiency in database management, spreadsheets, and related software. Willingness to learn additional computer applications. Commitment to diversity and serving the needs of diverse communities. Creative problem‑solving with learners, faculty, and staff. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Social Justice, Multicultural or Diversity Studies, or a related field. 3+ years of experience planning large‑scale events. Experience working with diverse communities or pipeline programs. Experience managing and training others on structural, cultural, and related issues impacting student performance. Formal training in finance, project management, and/or organizational quality improvement. Fluency in Spanish/English.
