Job Information Job Title: PD Dietician Registered Location: Jersey City Medical Center, 355 Grand Street, Jersey City, NJ 07302 Department: Dietary-Management Req #: 0000227288 Status: Per Diem Shift: Day Pay Range: $35.50 - $45.00 per hour Pay Transparency: The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Job Overview Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to provide medical nutritional therapy & optimal health care. Screens and assigns levels of nutritional risk based on hospital established criteria. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or advanced degree with major studies in Foods and Nutrition or Dietetics. Certifications and Licenses Required Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or eligible to sit for Registered Dietitian Examination. Scheduling Requirements Flex schedule. Coverage for weekends, holiday, and weekly coverage as needed. Essential Functions Develops and implements nutrition care plans for all assigned patients according to each patient’s disease state and lifecycle. Provides nutrition education to patient and family members. Responsible for documentation of patient’s progress in the electronic medical record EPIC, according to department policies. Continuously evaluates and monitors the effectiveness and outcomes of medical nutritional therapy intervention, according to procedural guidelines for assessment/re‑assessment. Participates in performance evaluation and improvement activities. Collaborates with dietetic technicians; Aids in the maintenance of accurate cardfile records in Health Touch. Mentors dietetic interns/students, as assigned by Clinical Nutrition Manager. Maintains professional development and competency. Maintains effective verbal and written communications within the department. Participates in other department responsibilities with the rest of the Clinical Nutrition team, as assigned by Clinical Nutrition Manager.
