Veterinary Assistant

VCA Thumb Butte Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team.

Located in Prescott, AZ - everyone's hometown. VCA Thumb Butte was established in 1978 and has been AAHA accredited since 1980. We take pride in the relationships we have with our clients, patients, and each other.

We are looking to add someone to our team who will uphold the standards and quality of care we are known for.

Location: 1441 W. Gurley Street, Prescott, AZ 86305

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Saturday, closed Sunday

Salary: Depends on skills and experience

The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high-quality veterinary medicine and patient care-with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen.

In this position, you will be supporting our Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Duties will include:

• Maintaining medical records

• Assisting DVM with exams, performing intake exams (TPR)

• Preparing the surgical suite and surgical patients, monitoring

• Filling prescriptions, online prescription requests

• Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging

• Client communication, appointment scheduling

• Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for boarded and hospitalized pets
