Job Details:
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day / 40 Hours per week.
Location: Bellaire, TX 77401
Job Type: Local contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks, with possible extension.
Pay Range: $20- $24 per Hour on W2
*Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.


Duties:

• Follow up with insurance payors and guarantors regarding claims and outstanding balances.
• Document all account activity, conversations, and follow-up actions.
• Review payments and ensure correct contractual adjustments/reimbursements.
• Analyze accounts and determine appropriate collection actions.
• Identify reimbursement and contractual issues and escalate complex accounts.
• Manage denials and follow up on problem accounts before they age.
• Assist with collection and workqueue-related projects.

Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma required.
• License(s): NA
• Certification(s): NA
• Years of experience:

• 2+ years of revenue cycle/medical collections experience required.
• Experience with commercial and/or government payers preferred.
• Professional CMS-1500 claims experience preferred.
• Epic experience preferred.

• Skills/Specialties/Technology:

• Knowledge of payer policies, reimbursement methodologies, and denials management.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and use payer portals, Microsoft Office, Excel, Teams, Outlook, soft phones, and e-fax.
• English proficiency required.
