Nalco Water, an Ecolab company, is looking for a Water Treatment Operator to join our industry leading Nalco Water team. You will be joining a talented team that is responsible for performing all necessary tasks to produce steam and treat wastewater. In this position you will be responsible for activities affecting the direction, safety, and housekeeping within the department. Operate pumps, valves, and other equipment for safe and efficient operations Maintain a clean, safe, and environmentally compliant work and storage area Work with testing fire systems in building Handle waters tests, check water softeners, and work with water reclamation system Position Details: Location: Bedford Park, IL (Clearing) Work week and shift for first year: 6AM to 2:30PM M-F Work shift after first year: 6PM to 6AM - 12 hour night shift Some overtime work may be required for this role Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience with boiler operation or wastewater treatment Ability to read and interpret instructions and manuals in English No immigration sponsorship is available for this role Preferred Qualifications Boiler License (NILUPE, City of Chicago) or in process of completing Boiler License Physical Demands: Ability to physically perform the essential duties of the position which include lifting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, balancing, walking, standing, talking and hearing Ability to wear a respirator under certain conditions Ability to work in extreme temperatures Ecolab is committed to providing reasonable accommodation to qualified individuals with a disability. Annual or Hourly Compensation Range The pay range for this position is $31.61 - $47.41. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
