Back End Developer

DescriptionWe are looking for a Back End Developer to join a collaborative technology team in Wheeling, Illinois. This role focuses on building and maintaining reliable server-side solutions that support business applications and improve overall system performance. The ideal candidate brings strong development fundamentals, works well across teams, and can contribute to scalable web-based platforms in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:• Design, build, and maintain backend services that support web applications and internal platforms• Develop efficient server-side logic and integrate application functionality with databases and external services• Partner with front-end developers to ensure smooth communication between user interfaces and backend systems• Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews to support quality and consistency• Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and implement durable fixes• Optimize performance, reliability, and scalability across backend components and APIs• Contribute to technical planning, documentation, and ongoing improvements to development practicesRequirements• Experience developing web applications with strong proficiency in JavaScript• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS in support of full-stack collaboration• Familiarity with React.js and modern front-end frameworks• Understanding of backend development principles, including API design and server-side architecture• Ability to write organized, testable, and maintainable code• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environmentJob typePerm
