Associate Director, Regulatory Affairs US Advertising and Promotion - Immunology

Associate Director leading regulatory strategy for US advertising and promotion in immunology at AbbVie. Oversees cross-functional teams, manages departmental operations and budget, and ensures compliance with advertising regulations. Hybrid role based in Mettawa, IL; Florham Park, NJ; or Irvine, CA.

Responsibilities

• Set strategy and lead cross-functional, multidisciplinary therapeutic teams on multidivisional initiatives
• Manage departmental operations, workflow, staff development, and budget with minimal direction
• Maintain communication channels with Medical, Marketing, Regulatory, Legal, and Public Affairs partners
• Collect and analyze industry trends and regulatory issues to identify business opportunities
• Develop and deliver strategic presentations to senior management; mentor and manage staff performance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in science (biology, chemistry, microbiology, immunology, pharmacy, pharmacology) or equivalent
• 8+ years pharmaceutical experience with Bachelor's, or 5+ years with PharmD
• Direct responsibility and solid understanding of regulatory advertising and promotion regulations
• Experience in matrix, complex organizational environments
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Management experience preferred
