Strategic Associate

Role Overview :

Andean Telecom Partners (ATP) is hiring a Strategic Associate, reporting directly to the CEO, to own the financial view of its operations across Colombia, Peru, Chile and Ecuador. You will standardize ATP's financial models, partner with Finance and Operations to raise profitability, and help capture efficiencies across all business lines and operating markets.

What You'll Do :

• Map the margin. Build and maintain the analysis that shows where margin is made and lost across countries, sites and asset types, and turn it into specific, prioritized improvements.
• Standardize the models. Build one consistent, auditable set of models — budget, forecast, unit economics, capex and scenario analysis — applied the same way across product lines and markets.
• Work across Finance and Operations. Translate operating drivers into financial outcomes, run the recurring business review, and carry profitability initiatives from analysis to decision to measured results.
• Support management decisions. Deliver analysis on pricing, cost structure, contract economics and investment cases at the pace each decision requires.
• Market monitoring & benchmarking. Continuously analyze and report on relevant benchmark indicators from industry peers, carrying observations forward into optimizations

What We're Looking For :

• Experience. At least 3 years in investment banking or management consulting at a leading firm.
• Education. Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (engineering, mathematics, physics, statistics, economics or computer science), with a strong academic record from a recognized university.
• Professional fluency in Spanish and working-level English. The role works daily with ATP's operating teams in South America, so Spanish is a functional requirement of the job.
• Working proficiency in Python or SQL. You can pull and reshape data yourself rather than waiting on someone else.
• AI fluency. Hands-on with AI tools for analysis, modeling and automation, with a view on where they help and where they do not.
• Advanced financial modeling. You can build a model someone else can audit.
• Ownership. You are comfortable with ambiguity and with being the person who closes the loop.
• Confident with senior stakeholders. You can sit with senior management, push past a general answer, and keep asking until you have the detail the analysis actually needs.
• Work authorization. Authorized to work in the United States as of your start date.

Nice to Have :

• Exposure to telecom, towers or digital infrastructure.
• Experience in the Andean region or wider Latin America.
• BI tooling — Power BI, Tableau or Looker.
• Experience briefing and managing external consultants or implementation partners.
• FP&A or corporate development experience in a private-equity-backed company.
