Job Summary Job Shift: Days Job Type: Full Time Up to $10,000 SOB for qualified candidates, paid over 24 months. The Operating Room Surgical Technician assists with surgical instruments in the OR based on procedure performed, standards, guidelines, and policies set for the unit. He/she functions under the guidance of the Registered Nurse and surgeon. Responsibilities Provides safe and efficient patient transport Implements and follows plan of care Maintains a safe surgical environment Maintains a clean and orderly work environment Department support for daily activities Qualifications Education: HS diploma, Graduate of approved surgical tech school, unless LPN with a minimum of 2 years surgical experience. Experience: Prefer experience in OR or SPD but not required. License: LPN if not a Graduate of approved Surgical Tech School. Certifications: American Heart Association BLS. Organization Description St. Mary's Medical Center (SMMC), part of the Palm Beach Health Network, is a 420‑bed acute care hospital in West Palm Beach.
