Travel Registered Nurse for Cardiac Procedural & Surgical Intermediate Care Unit

Sentara Heart Hospital located on the campus of Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a Travel Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Procedural & Surgical Intermediate Care Unit!

Location: Norfolk, VA

Work Shift: Third (Nights)

Overview:

This 24-bed cardiac surgical/procedural IMCU provides care to pre and post cardiac surgery patients to include: bypass surgery, cardiac valve repairs/replacements, thoracic surgery/lung diagnostics, and other cardiac based procedures and treatments such as ablations, left atrial appendages, ICDs, and permanent pacemakers. The unit also provides a high level of care to patients with cardiac arrhythmias, heart failure, and chest pain.

• Dedicated to high quality care, patient outcomes, safety, and teamwork is a standard of the staff

Nurses handle 3-4 patients on this unit based on acuity level. At times, RNs could be up to 5 patients depending in staffing

Education:

• Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required

Certification/Licensure:

• Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• ACLS
• NIH Stroke Scale

Experience:

• Must have 2 or more years of recent acute care hospital RN experience
