Cardiology - Electrophysiology Physician

Seeking a locum Electrophysiology physician to provide coverage beginning July 1, 2026 .

Practice Setting & Coverage

• Location: Mercy St. Elizabeth Hospital, Youngstown, Ohio

• Inpatient care with call responsibilities

• Reason for coverage: Change in FTE

• Schedule: 8-hour day shifts

• Call: 24-hour call with a 1:4 rotation

Clinical Volume & Environment

• Average clinic volume: 20 patients per day

• Average inpatient admissions: 11 per physician per day

• Trauma Level I facility

• 400 total hospital beds, including 50 ICU beds

• Cardiology group consists of 20 physicians, with other cardiologists present during coverage

• Supervision of 1 APP required

Patient Population

• Adult and geriatric patients

Procedures Required

• Electrical cardioversions

• Electrocardiograms (EKGs)

• Tilt table tests

• Full range of electrophysiology procedures

Technology

• EMR: Epic

Credentialing & Timeline

• Estimated credentialing timeframe: approximately 120 days

Expenses Covered

• Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate

• Rental car, hotel, and flight

Submission Requirements

• Board certification (required)

• Active BLS and ACLS certifications (required)

• Ohio medical license required (will accept providers willing to obtain)

• NPDB self-query report dated within 30 days of presentation (required)
