Facility Maintenance Technician

The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance, cleanliness, and operational condition of the facility, grounds, and equipment. This role encompasses a broad range of duties including lawn and building maintenance, painting, parts delivery, and hands-on support for preventative maintenance and production operations. The Facility Maintenance Technician works closely with maintenance technicians and production staff to ensure the facility runs safely and efficiently on a day-to-day basis. This position is well suited for a dependable, self-motivated individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, operating heavy-duty equipment, and adapting to a variety of tasks as business needs require.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform lawn maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, hedge trimming, flower bed maintenance, tree trimming and removal and daily trash pick up
• Paint building and machinery as needed
• Assist in the general cleaning of buildings and machinery
• Deliver and pickup parts using company vehicle
• Assist with preventative maintenance tasks
• Assist maintenance technicians as needed
• Provide support for production
• Fabricates fixtures as required
• Assist with using heavy-duty industrial machines, such as wood grinders, scissor lifts, table saws and etc

Qualifications Required:

• Organized, dependable and reliable
• Problem solving and organizational skills
• Customer Service Orientation
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license (Clean MVR Record)

Qualifications - Preferred:

• 12 years of experience in facilities maintenance, grounds keeping, or a related trade preferred
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, or mechanical systems is a plus
• Experience operating scissor lifts or other aerial work platforms; certification preferred
• Experience performing tree trimming and removal is a plus
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance procedures and maintenance tracking systems
• Experience working in a manufacturing or production facility environment preferred
• Basic fabrication skills including the ability to fabricate fixtures and work with industrial machinery

Physical Requirements:

• Varying noise levels
• Fast-paced work
• Work in outside weather conditions
• Will be exposed to electrical machinery
• Lifting: Medium (up to 50 lbs.)
• Carry: Medium (up to 50 lbs.)
• Pushing/Pulling: under 50 lbs. without assistance occasionally

Compensation:

Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as location, experience, and skills. This range reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role.

$37,606 - $49,941 annually

$18.08 - $24.01 per hour
