Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a contract opportunity crafted for dedicated occupational therapists looking to make a meaningful impact in educational settings near Laurel, MD. This full-time position, starting August 10, 2026, and ending June 8, 2027, focuses on supporting elementary-aged students from pre-K through 5th grade, across several schools. As part of a robust, collaborative environment, you'll be working on site only, with flexibility to set your own schedule based on caseload and administration approval.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid, active Maryland OT license (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Experience in school-based OT or similar pediatric settings preferred
  • Open to strong certified occupational therapy assistants (COTAs) with Maryland credentials
  • Comfort working with diverse caseloads, including students with high-level autism, significant communication needs, and behavior challenges
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to elementary students, supporting academic life skills and functional independence
  • Develop and implement targeted intervention plans tailored to individual student needs
  • Collaborate with school staff, families, and district specialists to deliver comprehensive services
  • Assess progress, document outcomes, and contribute to IEP meetings as required
  • Engage in the district’s mentoring program and utilize behavior supports
