Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Equipment Assembler Job Description

This role focuses on fabricating, assembling, testing, and packaging electro-mechanical equipment using blueprints, schematics, and drawings. You will work independently at a dedicated workstation, assembling various products from components and subassemblies while maintaining high quality and consistency. The position plays a key part in supporting clean water, safe food, and healthy environments by ensuring equipment is built to exact specifications and meets all quality standards.

• Fabricate, test, and package electro-mechanical equipment using blueprints, schematics, and drawings.
• Build assemblies using PVC fittings and stainless-steel tubing according to engineering documentation.
• Perform quality control checkout procedures on equipment to verify proper operation and adherence to specifications.
• Prepare components and parts for pre-assembly of finished products.
• Use small machinery, power tools, and hand tools safely and effectively during fabrication and assembly.
• Produce consistent, high-quality products by following established processes and standards.
• Assemble products accurately according to written instructions and technical documentation.
• Partner with Quality team members to resolve product discrepancies and ensure compliance with standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand assembly requirements and layout.
• Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on electro-mechanical equipment as needed during assembly or testing.
• Contribute to a culture of safety by following all safety protocols and actively participating in safety initiatives.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and strong hands-on mechanical skills.
• Experience performing manufacturing functions related to fabricating, troubleshooting, and repairing electro-mechanical equipment.
• Proficiency using small machinery, power tools, and hand tools in a manufacturing or construction environment.
• Attention to detail and ability to produce consistent, high-quality products.
• Capability to work independently at a workstation while managing multiple assembly tasks.
• Effective collaboration with Quality team members to address product issues and maintain standards.
• High School diploma or GED.

• Secondary diploma or equivalent work experience in one or more relevant trades is preferred.
• Experience in construction, particularly beyond general labor, such as reading plans and working with tools and materials.
• Familiarity with PVC fittings and stainless-steel tubing assembly.
• Basic electrical knowledge or experience working around electro-mechanical equipment is helpful but not required.
• Comfort working from schematics and technical documentation in a production environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting assembly or equipment issues.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to established safety protocols.
• Willingness to learn and adapt as processes and products evolve.

This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position with hours from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Work is performed at an individual workstation where you will open boxes, organize components, and assemble various products. The environment is production-oriented, requiring regular use of small machinery, power tools, and hand tools. Success in this setting relies heavily on the ability to read blueprints and schematics, apply mechanical aptitude, and work independently while collaborating with Quality team members when needed. Construction experience and exposure to technical drawings are highly valued, and basic electrical familiarity can be beneficial though not mandatory. Safety protocols are well established, and employees are expected to follow all safety procedures and participate in safety initiatives as part of a strong safety culture.

This is a Contract position based out of Pittsburgh, PA.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Pittsburgh,PA.
