Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations in either inpatient or outpatient settings and create customized treatment plans
• Implement physical therapy interventions concentrating on mobility, strength, balance, and functional abilities
• Work closely with nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Guide patients and their families through therapeutic objectives, discharge planning, and home exercise regimens
• Keep detailed records of assessments, treatments, and patient progress in line with facility and regulatory standards
• Engage in interdisciplinary conferences and care team rounds to ensure seamless coordination of care

Education

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or a comparable degree from an accredited institution

Certifications

• State licensure as a Physical Therapist
• CPR certification is preferred
• Additional specialized certifications (e.g., neurological, geriatric) are advantageous, but not compulsory

Skills

• Extensive prior experience is strongly desired
