Professional Counselor – Addiction Recovery Are you passionate about helping individuals overcome addiction and rebuild their lives? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Professional Counselor to join our addiction recovery team. In this role, you will be providing counseling, support, and evidence-based interventions to individuals throughout their recovery journey. The ideal candidate is committed to delivering high-quality person-centered care while fostering hope, resilience, and lasting recovery. Job Duties Conduct comprehensive substance abuse assessments for individuals referred by DCFS. Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and client needs. Collaborate with community agencies and service providers to ensure clients receive ongoing support and continuity of care. Maintain accurate client data and prepare monthly and annual reports required by DCFS. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case staffing to coordinate comprehensive client care. Provide case management services by coordinating referrals and connecting clients with community resources and ancillary/recovery support services. Educate clients and their families about addiction, recovery, relapse prevention, and available community resources. Coordinate with administrative support staff to reschedule appointments for clients who missed scheduled visits. Complete clinical assessments, treatment documentation, progress notes, and other required records in a timely and accurate manner. Position-Specific Details Appointment Type: Probational or Job Appointment. Location: Capital Area Human Services District's Addiction Recovery Services (ARS). Work Schedule: 9 hours per day Monday - Thursday, and 4 hours on Friday. Career Progression: This position may be filled as a Professional Counselor 1, 2, 3, or 4 depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant(s). Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience. The maximum salary for the Social Worker 4 is $86,070.00 annually. Note regarding the advertised pay range : The advertised maximum amount listed is the maximum salary a person can make while in this title/level over their career, and not the maximum amount we are allowed to pay a new hire. Requirements Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice as a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) or a Provisional Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (PLMFT).
