Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate must possess robust skills in circulating and performing sterile vaginal exams, with a strong background in large hospital settings preferred. The unit treats high-risk obstetrical cases, and applicants are expected to contribute effectively within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Circulate for cesarean sections and assist with vaginal deliveries.
• Manage high-risk deliveries and antepartum cases, including handling magnesium sulfate therapy and insulin drips.
• Perform sterile vaginal examinations and utilize external fetal monitoring effectively.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide exceptional patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery required.
• Current RN licensure in California.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate (AWHONN Advanced preferred).
• MUST be able to circulate and perform sterile vaginal exams.
• Pending licenses will not be accepted.
