Cloud Database Administrator (Postgres/MySQL/Cassandra)

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly experienced Cloud Database Administrator to manage, support, and optimize Postgres, MySQL, and Cassandra databases in complex cloud production environments.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in database performance tuning, disaster recovery (DR) design, high availability configurations, and system-level database optimization. This role requires deep experience supporting mission-critical production systems and ensuring scalability, reliability, and business continuity.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer, manage, and support Postgres, MySQL, and Cassandra databases in cloud environments
Perform database performance tuning at application, database, and system levels
Design and implement Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies aligned with business objectives
Configure and manage high-availability setups including clustering and replication
Optimize complex production database systems for performance and scalability
Support database design improvements and operational enhancements
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in production
Collaborate with DevOps, infrastructure, and application teams

Required Skills & Experience:

5+ years of hands-on DBA experience supporting:
PostgreSQL
MySQL
Apache Cassandra
Strong expertise in database performance tuning
Experience designing and implementing Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies
Hands-on experience with clustering and replication configurations
Proven experience supporting complex production database systems
Experience with Azure Data Factory
Exposure to cloud database environments

Competencies:

High ownership of production systems
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Ability to manage high-availability environments
