**Exciting Opportunity for an ICU Registered Nurse** **Job Description:** - Join our dynamic team as an ICU Registered Nurse, where you will make a significant impact on patients' lives! - **Work Schedule:** - 36-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM - Covering every 3rd weekend and holiday - Flexible schedule from Monday to Sunday - **Key Responsibilities:** - Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive nursing care tailored to each patient. - Deliver high-quality patient care based on established policies and procedures. - Foster a dignified and respectful environment for all patients. - Engage in teaching and educating patients and families based on their needs and readiness to learn. - Collaboratively prepare patients and families for discharge, integrating necessary support systems. - Delegate and supervise nursing interventions effectively. - Prioritize patient care, seeking assistance and recognizing emergency situations when needed. - Document patient data, therapeutic interventions, and responses accurately and timely. - Provide thorough reports on patient conditions to ensure care continuity. - Mentor colleagues and pursue professional growth opportunities. - Identify and address potential risks to patient safety, actively reducing errors. - Administer medications and therapies safely, adhering to physician orders and protocols. - Conduct assessments such as pain evaluation and cardiovascular monitoring (EKGs). - Manage ventilated patients and understand mechanical ventilation principles. - Evaluate and interpret critical lab values (e.g., arterial blood gases). - Participate in post-operative care and recoveries, addressing any potential complications. - Engage in daily multi-disciplinary rounds for effective patient care coordination. - **Job Requirements:** - Graduate from an accredited nursing school - 1 year of medical-surgical experience preferred - Previous telemetry experience required - ICU experience preferred - Current MA RN License - ACLS certification upon hire or active BLS card with ACLS obtained within 60 days - CCRN certification preferred - **Physical Requirements:** - Ability to exert force (20-50 lbs occasionally, 10-25 lbs frequently) - Frequent reaching, handling, and feeling required - Occasional stooping and kneeling **Behavioral Attributes:** - Achievement motivation - Concern for order - Flexibility and initiative - Customer service orientation - Strong interpersonal skills - Teamwork and analytical thinking --- **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
