Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking a Nurse Practitioner for an emergency medicine locum tenens role supporting a community hospital in Lehigh Acres, Florida. This opportunity places providers within a busy outpatient emergency department environment focused on acute care for a diverse patient population, supported by modern electronic health records and strong specialty resources.

For Nurse Practitioners seeking a stable, long-term clinical role in a high-volume emergency setting with dedicated physician and APP coverage, this opportunity offers a balanced mix of clinical volume and operational support in a modern outpatient environment.

Coverage: Ongoing
Shifts: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Volume: Approximately 29,000 annual ED visits
ED Beds: 11
Admission Rate: 13%
Staffing Coverage: Physicians 24 hours/day, APPs 22 hours/day
Electronic Health Record: Meditech
Strong specialty support including cardiology, orthopedics, radiology, and interventional services

Clinical Scope

Evaluation, stabilization, and treatment of emergency patients
Management of acute medical and traumatic presentations
Procedures within scope of practice, including ACLS and PALS protocols
Documentation within Meditech EHR
Collaboration with physicians, nursing, and specialty teams

Requirements

Active Florida Nurse Practitioner license
Minimum of 1 year emergency medicine experience post-training (urgent care or ER staff nurse experience not considered)
Board Certified Nurse Practitioner
ACLS and PALS certifications
24 hours Stroke CME annually
