Summer Camp Director - Seasonal

Summer Camp Director Do you enjoy engaging and helping children learn and grow? Are you creative and enjoy being in an outside setting during the summer? Montgomery County Parks, Enterprise Division is seeking a dynamic, energetic, and fun Summer Camp Director to work with children and teens aged 6‑14 at several locations throughout Montgomery County. Responsibilities Supervise day camp participants ages 6‑14 and overall daily operations of a comprehensive program. Review and oversee administrative records. Plan, implement, participate in, and evaluate programs and special events. Train, supervise, and evaluate camp staff and volunteers. Attend meetings, enforce program rules and Youth Camp Standards, and work closely with parents and M‑NCPPC staff. Administer CPR/First Aid when required. Qualifications Minimum age 21. Minimum 24 months of previous experience overseeing children as an administrator or supervisor. First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications (training classes available). Excellent customer service skills. Must attend a one‑day Youth Camp Standards training session and additional behavioral training. A complete background and Child Protective Services investigation will be completed prior to hire. Medical, drug, and alcohol testing may be required. Compensation & Hours Hourly wage: $22.25. Positions are seasonal, part‑time and do not include benefits.
