Registered Nurse - Cardiac Stepdown Unit
Location: New Mexico
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (18:30 - 07:00)
Job Description: As a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Stepdown Unit, you will provide high-quality care to patients recovering from cardiac-related procedures and diagnoses. This role requires strong assessment skills and the ability to manage complex patient conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Patient assessment and monitoring in a cardiac stepdown unit
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Provide support to patients and families regarding care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic health record system
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- 2 years of nursing experience preferred (1+ years considered)
- Current RN license in New Mexico (or compact state)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification preferred
