What We're Looking For The Sales Engineer will be accountable for supporting Senior Sales Engineers and Account Managers specifically within Zebra's Healthcare vertical. This role’s primary focus will be to support the Sr Sales Engineers with defining and leading the strategic technical direction for the Healthcare enterprise accounts. The position will have direct access to the latest technology from Zebra Technologies and its vendor partner community. With access to industry experts and engineering peers, this will fuel self‑development and career growth within Zebra Technologies. Remote role required to be based in the east coast with the ability to travel ~50% to cover the following territory: NJ, DE, MD, DC, VA, NC. No relocation assistance will be provided. Responsibilities Use moderate domain/solutions knowledge. Utilize solid understanding of all Zebra Products/Services. Apply solution‑selling concepts to customer situations with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Understand policies and practices related to the role and share ideas for improvement. Explain how Zebra solutions help customers’ business results and drive profitable revenue growth through value proposition vs. competition. Use full knowledge of customers’ businesses and market economics/trends to position effectively versus competition. Solve routine problems of moderate complexity (e.g., verifying technical compatibility) at the customer level. Understand and resolve problems with support from technical resources. Coordinate medium‑complex projects that require unique alignment of technical resources. Make decisions of moderate complexity that impact project deliverables under general supervision. Act independently or as a team lead for ad‑hoc teams, influencing buyers/decision makers for small to mid‑sized deals. Manage business and financial impact by achieving individual revenue goals with established prices and expenses. Handle many transactions with some moderately complex deals, contributing to medium‑term strategic impact for Zebra. Requirements Engineering degree or equivalent experience. 5+ years of relevant experience in sales engineering/pre‑sales or a technical‑related role (software development, application development, etc.). Technically savvy with a sales mentality. Resides on the east coast with ability to travel ~50%. Preferred Requirements Some exposure in a sales‑related role. General understanding of networking architecture and technologies. Experience presenting to B2B customers with strong communication skills. Experience in the healthcare field. Experience with mobile client platforms. Expertise in security schemes, architectures, and implementations. Expertise in software development. Expertise in VOIP technologies. Pay Range & Compensation Pay Range: $105,680.00 – $158,520.00 per year. In addition to base pay, this role offers an opportunity to earn variable compensation in the form of commission for achieving quota at 25% in accordance with the applicable sales incentive plan.
