Radiology Technologist

Position Overview Hourly Wage Estimate: $26.52 - $40.90 / hour Position Schedule: Tuesday - Friday 07:30 - 18:00 Sign‑On Bonus: $10,000 available for candidates not currently employed by HCA HealthONE. Job Summary The Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) works within the Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging Department to aid in screening, diagnosis, and treatment of medical conditions and emergent injuries. Responsibilities include operating X‑ray equipment, performing X‑ray therapy under the supervision of a radiologist, serving patients in the emergency department, hospital, and outpatient settings, performing procedures in accordance with established protocols across all age ranges, and maintaining expert technical and patient‑care skills to provide quality diagnostic results. Responsibilities Operate X‑ray equipment to create radiographs of designated body portions. Perform X‑ray therapy under the supervision of a radiologist and explain procedures to patients, addressing their concerns. Serve patients in the emergency department, hospital wards, and outpatient clinics. Perform procedures in accordance with established protocols for patients ages neonate through geriatric. Maintain expert technical and patient‑care skills to provide quality diagnostic results. Qualifications Completion of an AMA‑approved Radiology Technology training program with current certification by ARRT. Maintain current registry by attending continuing education activities. BLS through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required. Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs. Preferred: 2 years recent acute‑care experience. Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Valid ARRT‑R Radiography certification.
