About the Position

Contract | Days | 8-hour shifts with variable start times | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist in a high-volume OR environment handling 15–20 cases per day across 7 operating suites
• Support a wide variety of surgical cases including orthopedics (total joints), general surgery, gynecology, pediatrics, and ophthalmology
• Adhere to sterile field protocols and assist with setup, instrumentation, and breakdown of surgical cases
• Fulfill on-call obligations including one call night per week and one weekend of call per month with a 30-minute response time
• Operate and navigate EMR system (Cerner Surginet) as required during cases

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of OR scrub experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Surgical Technologist certification required
• Ability to meet a 30-minute call response time requirement
• Willingness to work variable start times and participate in on-call rotation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel assignment experience in a surgical setting is preferred
• Familiarity with Cerner Surginet EMR is a plus
• Experience with high-volume orthopedic cases including total joint procedures is advantageous
