Company Description Hope Served is a new organization transforming the former Manheim Mennonite Church into an eatery, small business incubator, and community center designed to expand employment, job training, and recreation opportunities for people with disabilities. In addition to the community hub, Hope Served is working to develop inclusive housing options for people with disabilities in the surrounding neighborhood. The organization’s mission is to foster meaningful relationships through social activities, vocational development, and supportive housing. Team members collaborate with local partners, small businesses, and community members to create an accessible and welcoming environment. Hope Served is building a model of community-based support that promotes dignity, independence, and connection. Role Description The Program Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Central, PA, responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of programs that support people with disabilities in employment, training, recreation, and housing-related activities. This role plans, coordinates, and evaluates program activities within the eatery, small business incubator, and community center, ensuring that services are accessible, mission-aligned, and effectively delivered. The Program Manager collaborates with staff, volunteers, participants, and community partners, manages schedules and resources, and monitors program outcomes to support continuous improvement. Daily responsibilities include supervising program staff, maintaining compliance with relevant policies and regulations, tracking budgets related to program activities, and preparing reports for leadership and stakeholders. The role also involves community outreach, partnership development, and contributing to strategic planning as Hope Served grows. Qualifications Experience in program management or project coordination, including planning, implementation, and evaluation of community or social service programs. Background working with people with disabilities or in human services, social work, vocational training, or related fields. Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple programs and priorities simultaneously. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build collaborative relationships with participants, staff, volunteers, and community partners. Demonstrated ability to lead teams, provide constructive feedback, and support staff development in a mission-driven environment. Basic budgeting, reporting, and data-tracking skills to monitor program performance and support decision-making. Commitment to inclusive, person-centered practices and familiarity with accessibility and disability-rights principles. Proficiency with common office software and digital tools used for scheduling, documentation, and communication. Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, nonprofit management, education, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
