Job Responsibilities

• Providing nursing assistant care to residents in post-acute facilities
• Following and adhering to resident care plans
• Assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, mobility, and toileting
• Monitoring and recording blood pressure and other vital signs
• Offering companionship and a compassionate presence to residents in need
• Moving and repositioning residents in beds and wheelchairs as needed
• Observing resident conditions throughout your shift and reporting any changes or concerns
• Acting as a liaison between medical staff, residents, and visitors
• Helping to serve and feed meals to residents as needed
• Maintaining a clean and sanitary environment by cleaning surfaces, changing linens, and tidying residents' rooms

Qualifications and Skills

• Valid CNA certification required
• Understanding of medical terminology and fundamental nursing care procedures
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills when working with medical professionals and residents
• Sharp observational skills and keen attention to detail
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
