Description

Essential functions and responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:

• Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to guests.
• Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
• Assist with meal setup and set or pre-set tables in banquet room as assigned.
• Complete all side-work (filling condiment containers, rolling silverware, stocking stations).
• Professionally serve food and beverages, check-in with and monitor guests' experience throughout their visit to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Adhere to food safety requirements.
• Assist with maintaining cleanliness of banquet facilities to Pacifica Hotel Company standards and all health codes at all times.
• Report any missing/found articles or any equipment/property damage to the housekeeping supervisor.
• Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department, restaurant and hotel.
• Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
• Deliver DKN's "Home Away From Home" experience
• Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of the position at any time.

Supervisory Responsibility: None

Independent Judgment Used: Only within the guidelines established by management and to the extent of operating within DKN Hotels' policies and procedures.

Working Conditions/Environment: Banquet rooms, banquet equipment and materials, and kitchen including commercial.

Qualifications

Knowledge/Education/Experience: Minimum of one (1) year or related experience preferred.

Skills/Abilities/Other Requirements: Ability to communicate in English with guests, management and fellow team members to their understanding. Ability to provide legible written communications. Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations. Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments. Dependable.

Physical Requirements: Prolonged walking and standing. Repetitive bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting and carrying. Reaching above, at and below shoulder level. Lifting and carrying unassisted up to 30 lbs. of bulk goods. Exposure to cleaning agents.
