RSU5 DURHAM-FREEPORT-POWNAL Social Worker- Long Term Substitute 2026-2027 Freeport High School Freeport High School is seeking a Long-Term Substitute School Social Worker to support students' social-emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs. This is a full-time position within RSU5. This position will run from approximately the beginning of October until the end of January. Responsibilities Provide individual and small-group counseling to students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges. Serve as a member of the student support team, collaborating with administrators, counselors, teachers, and families. Responds to crisis situations and conduct risk assessments as needed. Develop and monitor student support plans. Connect students and families with community resources and outside agencies. Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with school and legal requirements. Participate in student support team meetings, IEP meetings, and relevant staff meetings. Qualifications Master's degree in Socal Work or a Masters in Counseling required. Active LCPC or LCSW license. Experience working with adolescents in a school or clinical setting preferred. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively with students, families, and staff in a fast-paced high school environment. Pay for this position is designated at $150.00 per day, after 10 consecutive days in the same assignment the rate for this position is designated at $297.70. Requirements Must hold valid CHRC Certification from the ME Dept. of Education. Must hold a valid LCPC or LCSW license. Position remains open until suitable candidate is found. #J-18808-Ljbffr
