About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse, Special Procedures Profession: RN Specialty: Special Procedures Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Recent EPIC experience required License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS) required Must-Have: Advanced Electrocardiogram (EKG) certification preferred Description: The Registered Nurse will observe, evaluate, and coordinate the care given to patients in the Special Procedures department. They will participate in direct and indirect care activities according to the organization's policies and procedures. The RN will collect relevant data pertinent to patients' health and assess care needs. Analysis of assessment data will guide diagnosis and care planning. They will develop, implement, and coordinate care delivery and promote a safe environment. Results will be evaluated to ensure progress toward desired outcomes. Electrocardiogram (EKG) leads will be connected and monitored for changes in patient condition. Hemodynamic parameters will be recorded, analyzed, and reported to physicians. The RN will operate specialized equipment and computerized systems accurately. Collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare providers will be essential to providing safe and compassionate care. They will provide educational opportunities for patients, families, and team members. Additional job-related duties may be assigned as needed.
