Cost Accountant

We are partnering with our client seeking a Cost Accountant. You will manage and analyze all cost expenditures related to the manufacturing and delivery of our diverse product range. This role is crucial for generating detailed cost reports and analyses to support operations, sales, and supply chain functions. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $85,000 to $100,000 per year.

• Lead the development of the annual budget, reporting, and review processes related to manufacturing standards and variance cost accounting.
  
  
• Collaborate with senior management to develop information used to negotiate supply contracts, oversee pricing, shipping methods, and billing standards.
  
  
• Prepare monthly operational reports explaining variances in materials, labor, and overhead costs to assist the CFO and senior management in understanding performance results and refining product costing accuracy.
  
  
• Develop inventory cost standards, monitor and explain inventory cost impacts to the general ledger in monthly operational reporting, and act as the finance lead for annual physical inventory and monthly cycle counts.
  
  

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  
  
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting.
  
  
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, IFS) and advanced Excel skills.
  
  
• Experience with financial reporting and analysis tools.
