Must be experienced in complete material take-offs, labor estimates, requests for pricing, reviewing project documents and generating estimates. This position reports to the Construction Manager.Duties and Responsibilities:Prepare complete take-off and all cost estimates for HVAC, sheet metal duct systems, plumbing and piping systems with Fast Duct/PipeAbility to use estimating softwareAccount for labor, material, equipment, subcontractors, and other direct costs within estimateReview plans and specifications to determine scope of workCoordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure accurate and competitive pricingPrepare conceptual estimates to support budget proposalsMaintain control of documents, drawing revisions, and change ordersOrganize resources and establish prioritiesDevelop and maintain working relationships with subcontractors and client/ownerThe ideal candidate is someone who has the following:Minimum 5 years previous experience on large commercial construction projects related to mechanical constructionComprehensive knowledge or HVAC, VRF, VRV Systems, sheet metal duct systems, plumbing and piping systemsStrong knowledge of budgeting, cost estimating, mechanical Design Build and job costingAbility to deal diplomatically and communicate effectively within our team and customersExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to handle a dynamic, evolving, and fast-paced workload under deadlinesBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred, but not requiredMust pass a drug screen and criminal background checkSince 1976, Al Terry Plumbing & Heating, Inc. has been a leading name in energy-efficient appliance solutions across New Hampshire.
