About the Role: As a Med-Surg RN at a DirectShifts facility in Chicago, you will play a key role in providing comprehensive care to adult patients before, during, and after surgery. You will work alongside physicians, other nurses, and healthcare professionals to deliver individualized care plans and promote patient recovery. Responsibilities: Assess patients' physical, emotional, and social needs. Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans. Administer medications, provide wound care, and perform other nursing interventions. Monitor vital signs, document patient care thoroughly, and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team. Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment plan, and discharge instructions. Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures. Qualifications: Active and unrestricted IL State RN License. Minimum 1 year of experience in medical-surgical nursing. Strong understanding of adult medical-surgical conditions. Excellent communication, critical thinking, and assessment skills. Compassionate and patient-centered approach.
