Full-Time Lead Preschool Teacher – 3-Year-Old Classroom

For over 25 years, A Good Start Preschool has provided exceptional early childhood education rooted in faith, family, and whole-child development. We are seeking an experienced Full-Time Lead Teacher to guide and nurture our 3-year-old classroom.

Position Summary

The Lead Teacher for our 3-year-old classroom is responsible for overseeing the daily classroom environment , guiding children through routines and learning experiences, and fostering a safe, loving, and engaging space where every child can thrive.

This role includes classroom leadership, communication with families, and collaboration with staff , as well as supporting outdoor play and overall classroom management.

• Has experience leading or co-leading a preschool classroom

• Loves working with young children and understands their developmental needs

• Is dependable, organized, and takes initiative
• Values a nurturing, Christian-based learning environment

Requirements

• Prior experience in early childhood education ( required for Lead role )
• Experience in a preschool or childcare setting preferred
• Strong ability to manage a classroom and guide routines independently
• Must be mature, dependable, and attentive to children’s needs
• Must pass a criminal background check

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the 3-year-old classroom with confidence and consistency
• Guide children through daily routines, activities, and transitions
• Implement and adapt lesson plans to meet classroom needs
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and daily activities
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play to ensure safety
• Maintain a warm, structured, and encouraging classroom environment
• Collaborate with administration and staff to support the preschool as a whole
