Service Technician Intern

Summary:
As an intern at our dealership, you will immerse yourself in the world of Original Equipment
Manufacturer (OEM) protocols and procedures. This hands-on experience is designed to provide you
with a comprehensive understanding of the technical standards and practices essential for a
successful career as a technician. You will work closely with experienced professionals, gaining
valuable insights and practical skills that will enhance your technical expertise and prepare you
for future opportunities in the industry.

Essential Duties:
• Assist in performing work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, following
dealership and factory standards.
• Observe and assist in diagnosing the cause of malfunctions and performing repairs according to
OEM guidelines.
• Communicate with the parts department to obtain necessary parts.
• Save and tag parts for warranty purposes or at the customer's request.
• Examine assigned vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is needed or
recommended.
• Communicate with the service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if outlined work
is not required, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
• Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
• Report machinery defects or malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Maintain and be accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals.
• Operate all tools and equipment safely.
• Attend and complete all assigned company training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Must be enrolled in an accredited post-secondary Technical School
• Must obtain a Valid Driver's License
• Must have the ability to work while maintaining mandatory school hours
• Must be building a workable toolbox

Work Environment:
This position is often exposed to the elements and moving machinery and equipment. It is also often
exposed to grease, electrical currents, dust, dirt, chemicals and other environmental factors.
