Responsibilities As a Manager Trainee, you will be expected to train under the location Manager to develop the ability to operate as a Location Manager. Commit to training and lead as a location manager, creating an atmosphere of legendary customer service. Lead by training, developing, and supervising staff. Conduct monthly employee meetings. Develop and maintain a fully staffed location with a fully trained management team and gas attendant team members. Comply with programs, policies, procedures, and all regulatory requirements. Connect with the community to establish positive relationships, development, and station success. Assume responsibility for special programs and/or assignments as needed. Work in a fast‑paced environment; maintain energy and efficiency. Have a vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation to and from the location at all hours. Have open availability; be able to cover shifts and return to the location during off hours if there is an emergency. Complete required daily accounting paperwork and transmit by 3 pm daily to the office. Make daily bank deposits by 11 am. Account for ATM and lottery funds on a daily basis. Keep accurate records and reports. Control inventories, check in vendors and deliveries, following vendor check‑in policies. As a petroleum‑based business, be trained, certified, and expected to follow EPA and DEP storage‑tank policies. Ensure price changes are completed by deadlines and notify turnpike authority immediately if there are any issues or outages. Recruit, hire, train, motivate, develop, discipline, and terminate staff using appropriate documentation, policies, and processes. Maintain high levels of cleanliness and sanitation. Participate in inventory audits. Communicate with Gas Attendant Team Member, upper management, and office support personnel. Perform all Gas Attendant Team Member duties, including covering shifts, lifting, stocking cooler, and maintaining the inside and outside of the location. Be able to lift 35 lbs. Implement and support all company promotional and sales initiatives. Take pride in the operation, maintain the location’s image, and represent the corporation by greeting customers while maintaining a professional image and demeanor. Qualifications Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation. Open availability to cover shifts and emergency call‑backs. Ability to lift 35 lbs.
