Outpatient Physical Therapist

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating assigned patients and developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician directives. This role also includes delegating and directing discipline-specific therapy services and ensuring functional treatment programs facilitate a return to community activities. The Physical Therapist will serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers, while maintaining a focus on superior quality and compliance with organizational standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Complete accurate and timely medical documentation in compliance with guidelines.
• Participate in student programs and provide supervision and evaluations as needed.
• Actively pursue professional growth through ongoing education and involvement in professional organizations.
• Adhere to state practice acts, regulatory requirements, and maintain professional licensure.
• Contribute to organizational performance improvement initiatives and follow through on action plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience is required.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active and applicable state licensure to perform in the role.

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position with a 5x8.0 schedule.
