Nuclear Medicine Technologist – Advanced Cardiac Imaging (D-SPECT VISTA)
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Type: Contract (4 Weeks | Temp-to-Hire Potential)
Pay: $46/hr – $56/hr
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | 08:30 AM – 02:30 PM (Hours May Vary) | Approximately 40 Hours/Week
Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist with specialized expertise in Nuclear Cardiology Imaging and recent hands-on experience operating the D-SPECT VISTA (Spectrum Dynamics) system. This role involves performing high-quality diagnostic imaging studies, administering radiopharmaceuticals, and ensuring exceptional patient care while maintaining compliance with radiation safety standards.
Responsibilities• Perform nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.
• Operate and maintain the D-SPECT VISTA (Spectrum Dynamics) nuclear cardiology imaging system.
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals following established safety guidelines.
• Acquire, process, and evaluate diagnostic images for quality and accuracy.
• Monitor patients during imaging procedures and provide appropriate patient care.
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Document patient information, imaging results, and procedure details accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to support diagnostic outcomes.
• Maintain imaging equipment and ensure quality control standards are met.
Required Qualifications• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology Program.
• Current ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB Certification.
• Active State License (if required by state regulations).
• Minimum 1 year of recent Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience.
• Recent hands-on experience with D-SPECT VISTA (Spectrum Dynamics) required.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Strong knowledge of radiation safety standards and protocols.
• Ability to work independently in a clinical imaging environment.
Preferred Qualifications• Prior Nuclear Cardiology Imaging experience.
• Experience with cardiac stress testing procedures.
• Strong knowledge of cardiac imaging protocols and radiopharmaceuticals.
• Excellent patient care and communication skills.
• Experience in high-volume imaging environments.
