Within the Emergency Department, the Emergency Room Assistant RN Manager will guide care across triage, rapid assessment, critical care bays, and fast-track/minor treatment areas. This role supports time-sensitive pathways for sepsis, stroke alerts, and chest pain while collaborating closely with EMS and hospitalists. As the Emergency Room Assistant RN Manager, you will help a modern emergency service inside a 24/7 setting that benefits from an expansive hospital network and the resources of a 180+ bed hospital, giving patients and clinicians access to advanced imaging, specialty consults, and multidisciplinary teamwork that accelerates stabilization, diagnostics, and safe dispositions.

Reporting to the Emergency Department Nurse Director, the Emergency Room Assistant RN Manager supports charge RNs, preceptors, and a diverse interprofessional team of friendly nurses, techs, providers, pharmacy, case management, and social work. The Emergency Room Assistant RN Manager oversees daily operations, staffing and scheduling, onboarding, competency validation, clinical education, and performance improvement, while advancing key metrics and patient experience. The Emergency Room Assistant RN Manager also contributes to budget stewardship, supply optimization, regulatory readiness (EMTALA, CMS, Joint Commission), disaster preparedness, and trauma/critical event workflows, all while nurturing a collaborative culture where every voice is heard and respected.
