Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a high acuity step-down and low acuity ICU environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing complex cases and working within a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Administer comprehensive nursing care to patients with diagnoses such as sepsis, COPD, DKA, OD, renal, surgical, and respiratory issues.
• Monitor patient conditions, interpret ECGs, and respond to urgent situations promptly.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and update patient care plans.
• Adhere to infection prevention protocols, including proper PPE usage and proper disposal of N95 masks.
• Float to the Tele-MedSurg unit as needed to ensure optimal staffing levels.
• Complete orientation and maintain compliance with unit policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and current RN licensure.
• Must have critical access hospital experience.
• Hold BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency in using CPSI-Evident electronic medical records.
• Ability to perform ECG exams and respond effectively to clinical emergencies.
• Strong critical thinking and crisis management skills.
