Adjunct Faculty - English (opens in new window/tab)

The Department of English invites applications for its Adjunct Faculty Pool. This pool supports the university's ongoing need for qualified adjunct instructors to teach undergraduate courses in composition and related English disciplines, as departmental needs arise. Courses include ENGL 120C and 220C: Persuasive Writing and Researched Writing. Minimum Qualifications Earned advanced degree in English, Literature, Writing, or Composition and Rhetoric Excellent oral and written language skills Ability to work effectively with diverse populations The following salary range reflects compensation paid for a 3-unit course (144 total hours) and varies based on the faculty member’s highest earned degree. Total compensation is based on the number of courses taught and corresponding units for each course. $3,120 to $3,720 per course Application Procedures Please complete the application and upload the required documents below. References- Names, e-mail, and phone numbers of at least 3 people not related to you whom we may contact for an evaluation of your professional abilities. Pastoral reference letter- Pastor or church leader. Transcripts- Unofficial transcripts accepted to apply. If selected, notarized transcripts are required prior to employment.
