Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description Accounts Payable & Job Cost Specialist $23/hour The Accounts Payable & Job Cost Specialist manages vendor invoices, subcontractor payments, and monthly profitability reporting. This role ensures accuracy in QuickBooks, supports cash flow, and maintains strong vendor relationships while assisting with compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities Accurately input vendor invoices (ABC, Home Depot, Lowe's, Beacon, SRS, and others) into QuickBooks Online and JobNimbus. Ensure invoices are coded to the correct jobs and cost codes. Cut weekly checks to subcontractors and vendors, ensuring proper approvals. Collaborate with production staff to confirm invoice accuracy and resolve discrepancies. Reconcile vendor accounts and statements monthly, investigating and resolving variances. Process credit card and expense reports as assigned. Prepare and maintain A/P aging reports, ensuring vendors are paid per terms. Complete monthly job profitability reports, reconciling costs to budgets and highlighting variances. Assist with accruals and reconciliations as part of month-end close. Qualifications MUST HAVE 1–2 years of accounts payable or bookkeeping experience (construction, roofing, or home service industry preferred). MUST HAVE experience with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel. High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
