Travel Registered Nurse PACU Job

Overview
Registered Nurse – PACU in Burlington, Vermont, United States. This travel - temporary assignment starts 07/02/2026 for 4 weeks. Weekly pay is $2,415–$2,486 with rotating 5x8 shifts. Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia recovery care for adult patients in the PACU, including airway management, breathing support, and circulation monitoring
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythm, oxygenation, and hemodynamic status; respond to derangements per protocol
- Manage IV lines and arterial lines; titrate drips under physician orders; administer medications as directed
- Prepare patients for discharge from PACU and communicate handoffs to the next level of care using the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with anesthesia, surgical teams, and critical care staff; participate in warm handoffs and care coordination
- Maintain PACU documentation and ensure patient safety, comfort, and timely escalation of concerns

Requirements
- Active RN license in good standing (VT or multi-state licensure accepted)
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
- Experience: minimum 3 years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years in PACU; high-acuity critical care PACU experience; large, teaching hospital experience preferred
- Skills: critical care PACU skills, arterial lines, multiple titrating drips, and cardiac monitoring
- EMR: Epic experience within the past 2 years is required
- Education: nursing degree from an accredited program; eligibility to practice as an RN
- Availability: ability to work 8- to 12-hour rotating shifts including weekends and call as scheduled; may float to other units per staffing needs
- Additional: note emphasizes comprehensive work history for submission and reliable transportation requirements due to limited public transit options in the area
