QA Automation Engineer

Salary: $125,000 - 165,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• We require 3 years of software testing experience, including at least 1 year in automation testing, performance tools, and frameworks.
• We require hands-on experience with the Page Object Model design pattern in Selenium.
• We require experience writing behavior-driven Gherkin tests.
• We require experience coding in C#, Java, or a similar programming language.
• We require strong capability in designing test suites and applying test techniques.
• We require a solid understanding of usability concerns.
• We require experience communicating findings directly with software development teams.
• We require candidates to be located near our Columbia, MD office to support occasional on-site lab visits and collaboration meetings.
• We require successful completion of a background screening process, including employment verification, criminal, OFAC, SS verification, and where applicable, credit and drug screening.

• We design, develop, and implement automated testing for desktop applications, web applications, and backend services.
• We maintain our automation framework and extend it as needed.
• We evaluate test cases for regression coverage and add automation for newly integrated features.
• We research and apply modern automated software testing tools and practices.
• We develop and execute software test plans and procedures.
• We create and administer usability testing scenarios.
• We analyze test results and defects, then present detailed findings to the development team.
• We prepare progress and regression test reports.
• We participate in team reviews of product and test design.
• We work with customers as needed to refine usability requirements.
