Job Details

A growing employment law firm in El Segundo, California, is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys in all phases of employment litigation. The ideal candidate has at least five years of paralegal experience, strong knowledge of litigation procedures, and hands-on experience with court filings, discovery, and case management.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys throughout all phases of employment litigation, from case initiation through discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and resolution.
• Prepare, format, file, and serve pleadings, motions, discovery documents, and other court filings in state and federal courts, including electronic filing.
• Coordinate written discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission; assist with discovery responses, document collection, review, production, and tracking deadlines.
• Maintain litigation calendars, track court deadlines, organize case files, and monitor upcoming hearings, depositions, and other case-related events.
• Coordinate deposition scheduling, prepare deposition materials, organize exhibits, and assist attorneys with deposition preparation.
• Draft and proofread correspondence, pleadings, subpoenas, discovery documents, and other litigation-related materials.
• Organize exhibits, prepare trial binders, coordinate witness materials, and assist with trial logistics as needed.
• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and vendors regarding case-related matters.
• Maintain accurate electronic and physical files, monitor case progress, and provide general litigation support to attorneys as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of paralegal experience, preferably in employment law or civil litigation.
• Demonstrated experience supporting litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Strong working knowledge of discovery procedures, court filings, e-filing systems, and litigation deadlines.
• Experience preparing and managing discovery requests and responses, document productions, and deposition materials.
• Familiarity with California state and federal court procedures and filing requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, proofreading abilities, and attention to detail.
